Maresca Interiors was founded by Cecilia and Elena Maresca, two Italian-Brazilian sisters, who, prior to having the design company, had successful careers in the fashion and design industries.

Maresca Interiors is the embodiment of the harmony between the exotic elements of Brazilian modern design and the timeless elegance of Italian design.

Zurich Flat

Located on the surrounding hills overlooking the lake of Zurich, Maresca Interiors decorated this charming flat boasting floor to ceiling windows and solid oak wooden floors. Juxtaposing raw linen textures to sleek marble surfaces, Brazilian modern items to contemporary design stables, the decor is conceived to respect and highlight the incredible views adding sophistication and elegance.

Maresca Interiors works with both residential and commercial projects. The design studio is driven by the need for creating a cohesive story on the spaces they transform into homes. The sisters’ heritage also nourishes an enthusiasm for mid-century furniture, which they source from both countries for their clients and projects.

Jardim Paulistano House

Located in the residential Jardins neighbourhood of São Paulo, vila Dona Elisa involved both interior design and landscaping. Inspired by the work of great Brazilians master architect Oscar Niemeyer and most recently Marcio Kogan, the villa was reshaped from an old soulless two stories maisonette into a modern open space three floors mansion.

Studio Mews

This charming South Kensington mews house has gone through an extensive renovation to accommodate the needs of Maresca Interiors Studio. Playing with a colour palette of blues, reds and yellows, the space presents elegant yet vibrant rooms to enhance the beauty of the Brazilian mid-century furniture items placed throughout the two stories mews.

Maresca Interiors gives consultation from concept through to completion, on all design processes; they often work with architects, searching for advice on layouts, finishes, lighting and ironmongery. Not only do they provide new and vintage furniture, but the studio also designs and commissions bespoke items.

Trancoso House

The villa is built in the middle of a jungly plot of land, nearby the charming Quadrado of what is acclaimed to be one of Bahia’s most charming and characteristic spots, the village of Trancoso (Brasil). The design and decor of the villa are inspired by the site, the clients’ desire to live ‘in a bright glass house’ with all the cosiness of a typical Bahian Fazenda, the craftsmanship of the region’s carpentry and the work of the local indigenous tribe Pataxó.

Maresca Interiors regularly work with a wide range of projects, which differ on both size and scope. From art directing and participating in exhibitions to producing furniture in collaboration with other design brands, the studio’s services can readily be tailored to the clients’ needs.
