Irabujima S Residence
Aoyama Nomura Design
This amazing residence is located in Irubo, Okinawa and has the most amazing view! Aoyama Nomura Design is a high-end interior, architecture and product design established in Tokyo in 2006 by Ryu Kosaka, and since then became one of Japan’s most prolific company of designers and managers of architectural spaces.
Palladium Nightclub
Arata Isozaki
This project was commissioned by entrepreneurs Steve Rubell and Ian Schrager, owners of the also famous club Studio 54, and was conceived as a vibrant and luminous independent structure arranged inside a rather classic shell, which appears as a beautiful backdrop behind the clean geometry of Arata Isozaki.Arata Isozaki, one of Japan’s most iconic Architects, won this year’s Pritzker Prize, one of the biggest honours in the architectural world.
Roadside Station CANITTE
Atsushi Kitagawara
The internal space is characterised by furniture made from natural materials such as wooden boxes for fresh fruits and vegetables. This furniture not only brings out the freshness of the goods but also brightens up the atmosphere of the shop. Atsushi Kitagawara Architects was founded by Atsushi Kitagawara in 1980 and reorganised into a corporation in 1982 in order to become a full-scale architectural firm.
Sorano Hotel Lobby & Restaurant
Curiosity Design Studio
The entrance of the hotel features a ‘tent’ motif connecting an open lobby that creates a sense of unity, invoking the feeling of moving into another world in an instant. Curiosity is a multidisciplinary studio based in Tokyo, created by French designer Gwenael Nicolas. They work not only with bespoke interior design projects but also with architecture and product design.

This amazing restaurant is located in Shizuoka and can also be used for wedding events. FHAMS has an incredible design team that has worked on a wide range of project types such as interior design, hotels, and retail. This company was founded by Ryotaro Ando, in 2000, and its main goal is to strive to pursue the finest quality and the most exclusive designs.
SUMITOMO FORESTRY Komazawa Park Model House
Hashimoto Yukio
This modern residence was built in 2014 and serves as a model house for the studio. Hashimoto Yukio works with projects from private restaurants, offices, retail and commercial spaces, to hospitality, restaurants, and cafes. His style is timeless and harmonious yet quite minimalistic.

Shibuara Island
Kanji Ueki
This modern minimal residence was built in 2005 in Shibuara. Interior Designer and Director Representative of Casappo & Associates, Kanji Ueki was born in Tokyo in 1945. After graduating from Keio University, Kanji Ueki went to Italy, where he started to work for Aldo Jabober Architect Studio in Milan, but in 1975 moved back to Tokyo and established Casappo & Associates in Tokyo.

Taipei Dwelling
Koichi Futatsumata
This beautiful residence was built in Taipei, in 2019. Koichi Futatsumata was born in Kagoshima, Japan. After graduating from the Department of Engineering and Architecture at Kyushu Industrial University, Futatsumata set up a design unit, CASE-REAL, and started his incredible professional career as an interior designer.
Nassim Park Residence
Naoko Takenouchi
For the design of this penthouse apartment on Nassim Road, the internal layout was reconfigured from five to three bedrooms and the family room opened-up to the double-height space. Through extensive discussion, Naoko Takenouchi developed an elegant balance between both her style and the clients. Naoko Takenouchi completed a four-year degree course in design and glassblowing at Tama Art University in Tokyo, while taking time to attend the New York Experimental Glass Workshop.
1Premium Yakiniku Restaurant
Ryoji Iedokoro
Premium Yakiniku Restaurant is located in Tokyo on the first and second floors of a newly constructed building. The first floor features a long table in a cave-like setting. The second floor features semi-private floor seating with steel pipes mimicking trees acting as unobtrusive partitions. Ryoji Iedokoro constantly strives to help people realise the importance of architecture through their unique and innovative designs.
Maréchal Fayolle Housing Complex in Paris
SANAA
Located in western Paris, in the avenue du Maréchal Fayolle, the complex is designed by the Japanese architecture firm SANAA. Opting for fluid design and white finish, the studio designed four elevated buildings on pilotis, to allow full transparency and integration on the ground floor, insuring safety for the inhabitants.SANAA, also known as the Sejima and Nishizawa and Associates, is multiple award-winning architectural companies based in Tokyo. It was founded in 1995 by architects Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa.
Tsuruminomori Geihinkan
Shigemasa Noi
Tsuruminomori Geihinkan is a reading hall built in 2011. Born in Osaka, Japan in 1944, Shigemasa Noi is engaged to store design, exhibition design and display design, since 1965. The renowned designer has worked for Interna Kagaya, Interior Design Office Nob, and Xebec, and he established Shigemasa Noi’s design office in 1982.
Shishi-iwa House
Shigeru Ban
The Shishi-iwa House was built in the Nagano Prefecture, Japan in 2018. Shigeru Ban is a Japanese architect, known for his innovative work with paper, particularly recycled cardboard tubes used to quickly and efficiently house disaster victims. He has won several design awards since 1985.
Yakumo Saryo Restaurant
Shinichiro Ogata
Designer Shinichiro Ogata of simplicity design studio developed a humble yet exclusive restaurant dedicated to the fastidious and intricate preparation of traditional Japanese food. ‘Yakumo Saryo Restaurant‘ perches on top of a hill, providing visitors with a peaceful refuge to enjoy a distinctive dining experience. Shinichiro Ogata is a well-known Japanese architect recognized for his take on supervision of diverse architecture, interior, product and graphic design projects.
Kiyotomo Sushi Bar
Shiro Kuramata
Kuramata created the interior for the Kiyotomo sushi restaurant in 1988, and it’s not only his only intact work of interior design but also a prime example of the designer’s playfulness and restraint. One of the most celebrated and significant designers, we couldn’t leave him off the list. Shiro Kuramata’s futuristic and practical designs to this day are showcased in New York’s MoMA and the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris. Creating both beautiful spaces and furniture pieces, his work can be described as a fusion between Oriental design and Occidental styles.
The Aquilla Coastal Villa

Some sites present so many challenges that it is a wonder that anything gets built on them. The clifftop property, Aquila, certainly had major challenges. It sits in a bowl shape facing due west out to the Andaman Sea, so it is very dramatic. Steve Leach Group moved beyond just being the most established interior design consultancy firm in East Asia and increased their service offering with new expertise areas and partnerships to provide you with holistic answers.
He Art Museum
Tadao Ando
The He Art Museum (HEM), designed by the 1995 Pritzker Prize winner Tadao Ando in Guangdong, will finally be open to the public on October 1, after the official opening ceremony has been postponed several times due to the recent coronavirus pandemic. Tadao Ando is a self-taught architect whose approach to architecture and landscape was categorised by architectural historian Francesco Dal Co as ‘critical regionalism’.
Glass Tea House
Tokujin Yoshioka
‘Glass Tea House – KOU-AN’ which made its debut at the 54th La Biennale di Venezia in 2011, and which was also unveiled to great acclaim on the Shogunzuka Seiryu-den stage, Tendai Sect Shoren-in, Kyoto, is coming to the National Art Center, Tokyo, together with the unique and lauded ‘Water Block’ glass bench, which is part of the Paris Musée d’Orsay collection. Born in 1967, the renowned designer worked under Shiro Kuramata and Issey Miyake, and established his own studio, Tokujin Yoshioka Inc. in 2000.

WOODONE Kanazawa Showroom is an amazing showroom located in Ishikawa. Born on the 1st of June in 1941, Toyo Ito is a Japanese architect known for creating conceptual architecture, in which he seeks to simultaneously express the physical and virtual worlds.

Timbers Kauai Ocean Club & Residences was built in 2018. Known for creating current, iconic, must-experience spaces, Wilson Associates has been innovating hospitality design for luxury and boutique brands for nearly 50 years. Founded in 1971 by design legend Trisha Wilson, the renowned interior design firm offers a range of design services and speciality studios to meet clients’ needs in the ever-evolving hospitality industry.
