Véronique Cotrel is a young Parisian architectural designer with undeniable talent. Her passion and finesse are the reasons behind her success. She studied in France, Belgium, and UK and learned how to manage the client’s needs, as few in her field. She designs interiors where styles, spaces, and materials all come together in a coherent and harmonious way. Cotrel has a unique perspective over modern interior design and her decorating ideas go beyond the obvious. That’s why she’s the source of design inspiration for so many people.
Right in the first appointment – Cotrel tries to identify the expectation and desires of her customers. Then she starts the designing process with images that she finds in magazines, for example. Subsequently, customers are free to give their opinion! She says that she and her team welcome criticism enthusiastically, which actually allows her to move forward. This approach may very well be the key for her positive results.
One of the creations of Véronique Cotrel, is the renovation of this apartment, located in the heart of Saint Germain des Prés, and the story behind it can be summarized as: “A man’s apartment… designed by women”. Here, the mix of warm wood and cold metal is found in every room, an antagonism as a guideline.
For this project, Véronique Cotrel completely redesigned the spaces. But for the main room it’s the decor, lighting, color schemes and materials that give it a modern twist.
The kitchen was designed in partnership with Siematic. The interior designers have decided not to have tiled floors so that the kitchen is a continuation of the living room. A white color scheme, straight lines, and a fresh ambiance make the kitchen a place to linger.
The renovation of this apartment was inspired by the artistic sensibility for contemporary art of the owners. Several of the beautiful pieces involved in furnishing this space added a pretty pastel environment.
The design of this home is the result of the collaboration between Véronique Cotrel and certified architect Mélanie Gonin. We can see the elements of french interior design, in the velvet armchair for example.
Cotrel success is no secret: she and her team try to adapt the decoration by location. It is a real sharing – the client and her. That’s why, Cotrel means design inspiration for so many design lovers, who seek for decorating tips in every new project.
