Today the international designer has to divide her work between Chicago, New York, Rome and her summer house on Harbor Island. 6.Buckingham Interiors and Design
Founder and Principal Julia Buckingham runs her design studio, founded in 2007, out of the growing West Town neighbourhood. The team produces custom-designed interiors using their signature style known as “modernique,” which is also the name of Buckingham’s new book: Modernique, Inspiring Interiors – Mixing Modern and Vintage Style.
7.Donna Mondi
Donna Mondi Interior Design, one of the “Top 20 Interior Designers in Chicago”, and recently named one of the world’s Top 100 designers, is a luxury interior design firm located in Chicago’s growing West Town neighbourhood.
8.Edyta & CO.
Edyta Czajkowska began her career designing luxurious residential and commercial interiors for some of the most notable design firms in Chicago. During her career, Edyta has worked on projects in the United States and Dubai. Czajikowska’s approach to clients with a traditional bent is to meld classics with modern for a warm and serene look. Project hallmarks are clean lines and a chic fresh look. She aims to elevate a client’s way of living with an aesthetic eye and a sense of style that is also comfortable.
9.Elizabeth Krueger
The principal of the four-person design firm, Elizabeth Krueger has been named one of HGTV’s “Faces of Design” and Chicago’s “One to Watch” by The Editor at Large — the daily news source for high-end residential interior design. She started her career working on the highly esteemed Holly Hunt design team. She is a member of the Leaders of Design Council, one of the industry’s notable member’s organizations. Krueger’s work has appeared in LVBX Magazine, Elle Décor, and LUXE Magazine, among others.
10.Frank Ponterio
With more than 20 years of experience designing commercial and residential properties, Frank Ponterio Interior Design is nationally renowned. Principal Frank Ponterio studied at Chicago’s Harrington Institute of Design. He holds an NCIDQ license and is an accredited member of ASID. Besides his interior design, Ponterio is also well-known for his work restoring historic properties from architect greats, such as David Adler and Howard Van Doren Shaw.
